Sonident, in collaboration with Centric Education, proudly hosted a 2-Day Full Micro-Endodontic Surgery Course led by the renowned Dr. Adham A. Azim at the Toronto Marriott Markham on November 28–29, 2025.
With attendees joining from across Canada and abroad, the event delivered a highly immersive blend of advanced theory, clinical insights, and hands-on microsurgical training.

A Comprehensive 14 CE Program

Participants earned a total of 14 Continuing Education credits, divided into:

• Day 1 (7 CE): Full-day lecture

• Day 2 (7 CE): Hands-on microsurgical training

The structure ensured participants gained both deep theoretical knowledge and practical experience essential for advancing their microsurgical skills.

DAY 1 — An Energetic and Insightful Lecture Experience

Day 1 featured a dynamic and engaging lecture delivered by Dr. Adham A. Azim, whose energetic teaching style set the tone for the day. Participants appreciated his enthusiasm, clarity, and willingness to answer every question thoroughly.

Topics covered included:

• Clinical decision-making in endodontic surgery

• Case selection and prognosis

• Microsurgical workflow optimization

• Predictable treatment planning

• Common pitfalls and how to avoid them

The lecture provided a strong theoretical foundation for the surgical training to follow.

DAY 2 — Hands-On Microsurgery Training with Personalized Guidance

Day 2 began with Dr. Azim asking participants about their biggest challenges in micro-endodontic surgery, allowing him to understand their needs and tailor his hands-on guidance accordingly. This personalized approach created an environment where participants felt supported and engaged.

Each clinician worked using an individual microscope station, practicing:

• Incisions and flap reflections

• Osteotomy

• Apicoectomy

• Retro-preparation and retro-filling

• Suturing techniques

• GTR methods for through-and-through defects

Training was performed on the Azim TrueJaw®, a hyper-realistic surgical model featuring full anatomical detail and through-and-through lesions.

To strengthen collaboration and peer learning, Dr. Azim encouraged every two participants to work together, allowing them to observe each other’s workflow and refine their techniques as a team.
His energetic presence and hands-on feedback at each station elevated the entire learning experience.
