Precision Endo: From Access to Apex | Summer Endo Series Recap

On Friday, July 31, 2026, dental professionals joined us in Richmond Hill for Precision Endo: From Access to Apex, an intensive one-day hands-on endodontic course designed to help general dentists perform root canal treatment with greater confidence, efficiency, and predictability.

Organized by CanaDent and proudly supported by SoniDent, the course brought together evidence-based education, practical techniques, and advanced clinical technology to create an engaging learning experience from start to finish.

Learning from an Expert

Led by Dr. Hengameh Bakhtiar, DDS, MSc, FRCD(C), participants gained valuable clinical insights developed through years of endodontic practice and teaching.

Throughout the day, Dr. Bakhtiar covered every stage of modern endodontic treatment—from diagnosis and case selection to access cavity preparation, cleaning and shaping, irrigation, obturation, and the management of clinical challenges. Practical tips, real clinical cases, and interactive discussions ensured every concept could be applied immediately in everyday practice.

One of the highlights of the course was the interactive learning environment, where attendees were encouraged to ask questions, discuss treatment strategies, and receive expert guidance throughout every session.

Throughout the course, participants performed hands-on procedures using the Bondent / Semorr Dental Microscope, experiencing firsthand how enhanced magnification and illumination improve every stage of endodontic treatment.

With superior visualization, clinicians were able to:

• Identify hidden canals and complex root canal anatomy
• Improve precision during access cavity preparation
• Preserve healthy tooth structure
• Enhance visibility throughout cleaning, shaping, and obturation
• Perform treatment with greater confidence and accuracy

Experiencing the microscope in a real clinical training environment allowed participants to appreciate how advanced magnification can elevate treatment quality and improve clinical outcomes.
