Apical Slow Down is an automatic function that reduces the file rotation speed as it approaches the apex to ensure precision and safety. It is active in CW and CCW modes.

How do I install the contra-angle on the Endo Free?

1. Align the locating pins of the contra-angle with the positioning slots on the motor handpiece.
2. Push the contra-angle horizontally until it clicks into place.
3. Ensure the contra-angle is securely installed before operation.

How do I insert and remove files in the contra-angle?

• To insert: Hold down the push button on the contra-angle, insert the file, and release the button to lock the file in place.
• To remove: Press the push button and gently pull out the file.
  Note: Always stop the motor before inserting or removing files.

What are the automatic functions of the Endo Free?

• Auto Start: File rotation starts automatically when the file is inserted into the canal.
• Auto Stop: File rotation stops automatically when the file is removed from the canal.

How do I charge the Woodpecker Endo Free?

If the device stops due to overheating, turn it off and allow it to cool before resuming use. Continuous load on the motor can trigger overheat protection.

1. Clean the contra-angle with a neutral pH disinfectant after each use.
2. Lubricate the contra-angle with the original oil nozzle before sterilization.
3. Sterilize under high temperature and pressure (134°C, 2.0–2.3 bar).

Can I use any file with the Endo Free?
Only use files with shanks that meet ISO standards (Ø2.334–2.350 mm) to avoid damage to the contra-angle.

What should I do if the device doesn't connect to the apex locator?
Ensure the USB wire and measuring wire are correctly connected. Perform a connection test by touching the lip hook with the file in the contra-angle. If the issue persists, check the wires or replace them as needed.
