The MF4-4 Tip and MF4-9 Tip are larger-diameter, single-use laser tips designed for extensive soft tissue applications. These tips provide greater coverage and deeper penetration, making them ideal for procedures such as gingivectomy, operculectomy, and soft tissue crown lengthening.

How to Use the MF4-4 and MF4-9 Tips

1. Preparation:

• Select the appropriate tip based on the procedure's required tissue coverage:
  • MF4-4 Tip: For moderately large tissue areas.
  • MF4-9 Tip: For even broader coverage or deeper laser penetration.
• Open the sterile packaging and carefully remove the selected tip.
• Screw the tip onto the handpiece in a clockwise direction until firmly attached.

2. Laser Setup:

Choose the correct preset treatment program on the device for the planned procedure (e.g., epulis removal, incision, or crown lengthening).

• Position the tip slightly above or in contact with the tissue, depending on the procedure.
• Use deliberate, sweeping motions to sculpt, vaporize, or excise tissue, ensuring even energy distribution.
• Regularly check tissue response to prevent overheating or charring.
• If debris accumulates on the tip during the procedure, clean the tip using recommended sterilization methods for optimal performance.

Post-Procedure:

• Detach the tip by rotating it counterclockwise.
• Dispose of the tip immediately, adhering to biohazard disposal protocols, as these tips are single-use only.
