1. How do I attach a tip to the Woodpecker / DTE AI Surgery handpiece?
To attach a tip, screw it onto the Ai-surgery handpiece until it’s flush with the handpiece. Then, use the torque wrench to turn clockwise until a clicking sound confirms it’s securely fastened.

2. How can I check if a tip is correctly attached to the handpiece?
The tip is securely attached if you hear a clicking sound while using the torque wrench to fasten it. Avoid gripping the end of the handpiece or cord when tightening to ensure proper attachment.

3. How do I select the correct power mode for different tips?
The Woodpecker AI Surgery display shows the current power mode. Depending on your chosen tip, press “M” on the foot pedal to select the appropriate mode: BONE, Perio, or Endo. Consult the mode and power chart in the manual for specific settings.

4. What’s the recommended power level for different tips?
The system supports power levels from 1 to 10. Consult the manual’s table to determine the recommended mode and power level for each specific tip model.

5. How often should I check the condition of the tips?
Regularly inspect the tips for wear, especially if you notice reduced performance. Replace any deformed, damaged, or worn tips to ensure optimal functionality.

6. Can I reshape or bend the tips if they become deformed?
No, do not attempt to reshape, bend, or alter the tips, as this can damage their effectiveness. Replace any tips that are deformed or damaged.

7. What is the expected lifespan of the tips?
Each tip is designed for up to 300 sterilization cycles. After this point, it’s recommended to replace the tip to maintain optimal performance and hygiene standards.

8. How do I ensure the tip connection points are kept clean?
Ensure all threaded parts and contact surfaces are clean before use. Any debris or residue can affect the connection and performance of the tip.

9. What should I do if the device stops working due to a worn tip?
If the system stops functioning because of a worn tip, replace the tip with a new one.
